Aheh or Eheh or Eh Eh or Eh are often heard when talking to the Naija....

A sign of confirm or mere saying "I hear you and understand".

Come to think of it, everyone does it... No? Different sound, same meaning...I use "ek" or "uhuh" or even "mmmhmmmm" a lot!

RARECATION: The Beginning...(Part 2)

A few weeks before the trip, Saiful Nang (SN) or was it Syibli created a WhatsApp group for the lot of us. It was rather clever of him to do that. We mingled among us in cyberspace before the actual meeting on the 10th of October.

There are (since the WA group is still pretty much active) 18 of us plus 4 crews (SN, Syibli, Harun and Dinie). The crew arrived a week earlier than us. They sent pictures, pretty good ones actually to excite us. It worked very well.

Meanwhile somewhere in Europe, SN and his crew kept sending pictures of the trees in autumn. Nice scenery, especially the one with Syibli by the lake. A preview of what's coming our way during the trip. We were ecstatic...sky high!

But the last picture of Dinie, pouring the contents of the WC tank at a campsite brings us down back to earth...telling us in a very nice way....to use the toilet, we really need to make sure the "catchment" tank in the camper vans are emptied on daily basis. Or you risk making the whole vehicle smells like a sewer.

nice......all the leaves in various hue

In KLIA (Kuala Lumpur International Airport), Malaysia...the bulk of the group are ready to begin their long journey aboard the KLM. They will be arriving in Schiphol, Amsterdam around 5.30am and connecting flight at 9am to Munich.

Hafiz and Anz...btw Anz is a certified Pharmacist.
Hafiz works with ASTRO...similar to DSTV in Nigeria

Which terminal? Terminal 1E!!!
I was still fretting about my luggage when the rest arrived.  Good to know that they had trouble free flight. Any inconvenience like mine would delay the whole group even more.

these two were like two peas in a pod...
Later, Coke (don't ask me why that's her nickname, she won't tell) and her travel buddy, Pah arrived. Both are nurses working in Saudi. Travels extensively around Europe when they have the chance.

Muhammad, the youngest of the lot...from UK (parents doing was it Masters or PhD...sorry); and Abang (brother) Rashid and Kakak (sister) Mona who flew in from Paris. These couple really...I mean really travel Europe to their heart's content. Both of them, like me..arrived without luggage. Theirs were still in Paris...

I think another two came on their own. Tasha was in Porto at the time and Che Mun will be arriving at the Munich's train station in the late afternoon. Who else did I miss?...Radzi!...Another Malay chap from Tanzania arrived few days earlier. Like Sab, already with the crew testing the camper van around Munich.

It took Syibli and the rest of the crew about half an hour to arrive at the airport. We immediately stowed our luggage and boxes of food into the camper van and made ourselves comfortable.

Harun, busy taking videos..recording every bit of the journey. Also in picture is Abang Rashid. Kakak Mona's hubby.

The nurses.. (l-r, Pah and Coke)
Muhammad, the youngest of the lot...

First stop was to stock up the larder with food (I came empty handed) from the supermarkets at Markt Schwaben. It's also the place where SN gave our first briefing about the trip. Divided us into smaller groups and the callsign of each van. Mine was Naija..hahahaha. The rest were Temerloh, Johor, Ganu and A1 (A VW 'California' van).

Naija was to detach from the group, head back to the airport (get our luggage) and fetch Che Mun at the train station. While the rest continued their journey to Schwangau, literally means 'Swan Land' and camp there for the night. Really looking forward to a good night sleep....Aheh!!!
